Things to Know

Before, During and After the Procedure

During

We glide a handheld laser device over your skin targeting the hair in the treated area. You may feel a slight stinging, snapping, or pinching sensation that’ll only last for about a second. This is completely normal and usually manageable.

If, by any chance, you find the discomfort to be more than you expected, please let us know straight away. We’ll adjust the settings or increase the cooling to your skin accordingly.

After

It’s completely normal to experience some temporary redness and swelling in the treated area. This should go away within a few hours.

Before

  • Stay away from the sun and tanning beds for at least two weeks before treatment.
  • Avoid waxing, plucking, or epilating for a minimum of four to six weeks prior to your session, to allow our lasers to target the pigment in your hair follicles.
  • Shave the treatment area 24 hours before your session, to let the skin heal from shaving and make the laser more effective.
  • Don’t apply creams, makeup, or lotions to the areas that will undergo laser treatment.
  • Men should shape their beards before the session. This helps us understand which areas should be lasered.

Aftercare Tips

  • Avoid direct sunlight and sunbeds. If outside, use a high-quality SPF30 minimum for a few days after the treatment.
  • Avoid intense exercise and heat from showers, saunas and baths for at least 24 hours following the session.
  • Apply ice packs, cold water, or anti-inflammatory creams to alleviate any discomfort after the procedure.

Results

When Will I See Results and How Long Will They Last?

After the first treatment, you’ll start to notice a significant decrease in hair growth – typically around 10% to 25%.

With each session, the hair in the treated area becomes finer and less noticeable.

On average, it takes about six to eight sessions to achieve a reduction of 70–80% in targeted hair growth with ongoing treatments – with sessions spaced a few weeks apart to target hair follicles in different growth stages.

Touch-up sessions may be required to maintain the desired results.
